1987

The Development institute for Science (DIS) is a product of a similar computer training program developed and implemented by DIS team. The training was provided for four Graduatesper session, two sessions per week for 15-20 sessions. Upon completion of the program the Graduateswill received a certificate. The sessions were made up of four core areas of Microsoft Office® training and those core areas were: Win 3.1 & 3.11, Word Processing, DOS.

1994

DIS Management has decided to add the word computer in trade license to become a brand name (Development Institute for Science & Computer) DISC. During DISC years of research and studies, DISC developed her knowledge base of curriculum development and delivery, return on investment for Technology-Based Training (TBT), training management systems, development teams for creating TBTs, ensuring transfer of learning to the job, leveraging technology for human performance improvement and computer training statistics. Now DISC was ready to bring all of the above components together, along with the communities' needs, and package them into a plan for the birth of her vision.

2006

In 2006 New Management has offered technical assistance and support to DISC Director that Time Mr. Obaid and the assistance has been welcomed and accepted. The new DISC Management Started on 2006 By Mr. Adnan Abu Odeh. DISC has also been approved by international Body User Specialist Program to operate as an Authorized Training & Test Center. This approval gives DISC full authorization to use the Body ® logos on our printed and televised materials. International Bodies will also provide the security of having, a technical support team, available to DISC 24-hours a day.

DISC now offer Cambridge International Diploma in IT Skill Courses. Cambridge International Diploma in IT recognizes achievement in a range of skills which are required to use effectively a number of IT applications. Assessments for the Cambridge International Diplomas in IT are available on demand throughout the year to complement flexible Courses patterns and learning needs. The assessments use the latest developments in computer-based technology to assess a candidate’s ability to use software-specific applications and to develop IT skills. All assessment is carried out on-screen and the immediate feedback of results to candidates is a central feature of these diplomas.

Arab Certified Public Accountant (ACPA) has been developed to adapt appropriately to international recognition, issued by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in collaboration with a group of consultative experts from the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA). Development Institute for Science & Computer (DISC) now offers ACPA course for all nationals living in UAE or from other countries that wish to tour or work here in Dubai. This is the first Institute offers ACPA courses here in UAE. The ACPA certificate is accredited by the University of Cambridge International Examinations and it has been recognized in different Arab countries like Jordan, Palestine, Yemen, Iraq and now on United Arab Emirates. The Society has been listed among professional auditing institutions, and the ACPA certificate has been recognized as a license to become a professional practitioner accountant.

Arab Certified for Public Accountant (ACPA) came into the country and started its training through DISC as a center. The curriculum for the qualification of the Arab professional accountant has been developed to adapt appropriately to the international one issued by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in collaboration with a group of consultative experts from the Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, the Certified General Accountants Association in Canada, the European Commission, the "Federation International. des Experts Comptables Francophones" (FIDEF), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, the Polish Accounting Standards Board and the International Federation of Accountants and representatives of academic and international accounting firms acting in their personal competence.

TOEFL Course starts in DISC, 17th of December 2011. Over 150 Graduatesfrom National Charity School start the course. DISC Management are well prepared for the course. Girl Graduatesare separated from the boys. There are 3 designated rooms for the classes. Al Saif hall was also used for the class. Graduatesare group by batch each day to accommodate them properly and provide them the best facilities. CFC is a consulting professional certification for financial managers, financial controllers, senior accountants, managers and supervisors with financial / accounting responsibilities. DISC Summercamp 2012 started.
June 2012

The Institute gradually started Summercamp last June 17th. Summercamp is a yearly program of the Institute during June and July month, before Ramadan starts. Graduateswith age 6 - 18 joined the program. The program consists of computer courses like 3D max, Photoshop, typing Arabic/English. Learning foreign languages are also included in the program. For the kids, there will be outdoor trips in Children's City, dolphinarium and Grand Cinema in Mercato Jumeirah. DISC also offers painting and art classes. DISC CEO & Director Dr. Adnan Abu Odeh is one of the 50 people who took part in the construction of Guinness world’s largest book, ‘This is Muhammad’ . The book is five meters in length, eight meters in width and consists of 429 pages. The book sheds light on the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), explaining the achievements and positive effects he has had on humans and political areas. The book is accompanied by a one million signature campaign whereby people of the public can register their signatures, out of love and peace to Prophet Muhammad — Peace Be Upon Him.

After completing 3 months intensive course training in Quantity Surveying, Mr. Ayman Hassan, Egyptian nationality, who's working with Ajman Real Estate Regulatory Agency (ARRA) presents his final project to the Institute panel to depend his project. The panel defense includes the CEO and Director of Development Institute, Dr. Abu Odeh and two of the most respected engineering teachers of the Institute, Engr. Rasha and Engr. Waddah. He was taught and guided by his instructor, Engr. Waddah. He answered the questions in a professional and excellent way. It was a great job indeed.

In addition, It was agreed on the agenda of the joint co-operation between Dr. Faisal Qassim, the Arab Institute of Accountants and legal (AIAL)on a joint work program in 2014 through holding training courses in both journalism and media in the United Arab Emirates , the big media star has praised the great efforts made by the Institute in this area and has been agreed on the preparatory sessions for the work program during 2014 , however at the end of the meeting, Dr. Adnan Abu Odeh thanked the big media star a lot for the warm reception and hospitality at the headquarters of his office wishing him further progress and prosperity.
